Dead Stars Special project details

We took Dead Stars by Paz Marquez Benitez up for my PHILIEN class. It's a Philippine short story in English. It's one of the best I've read so far. It was a bitter-sweet read for me. Mostly bitter. I hate plots like this. I hate characters like Alfredo but the story was just too beautifully written. 

My favorite character would be Esperanza, if you knew me personally and if you read the story you'd understand. It's a love-hate relationship for me and her. I hate how she was so stupid yet I love how she stood her ground. I hate that she embraced her sorrows and I hate how calm and reserved she stayed.

Anyway I'm to design a dress representing my favorite character from my favorite short story along with an essay. I'll definitely post whatever I come up with as soon as I get the chance. I'm not on Facebook or Twitter too often anymore but I'll be here. :)
